While our photographer John worked with
Jacqueline in the bar, we were on the lookout for a genuine Australian ute (pick up truck
for our American visitors) preferably a Holden. As we neared the endof the shoot at
the hotel, nothing suitable had yet turned up. Lisa and Kylie our make-up and hair
team were busy working on Shae, but what if we couldnt find a suitable car for her
shoot would all the work be for nothing? Samantha Steele
Well, somebody up there must have a soft spot for calendar
publishers because suddenly our knight in shining armor turned up in the form
of Skip, who pulled up outside the Leap Hotel in his mates Holden Ute complete with
a dog named Ace sitting on the back tray.
So we finished Jacquelines shoot, enjoyed a last couple of beers, loaded into the
van and drove to the outback style shed we had found on a previous scouting trip.
Even the weather, which had looked a little threatening before
suddenly cleared and we ended up with the perfect afternoon sun for Shaes shoot. Ace
played his part perfectly and was immortalized while a his proud owner was watching the
scene thinking about how the hell he was going to convince his mates that all this really
happened. |
