Australia’s top up-and-coming bikini models brought the heat when they converged in Surfers Paradise for the culmination of the glamorous nation-wide ZOO Weekly Australian Swimsuit Calendar Model Search! More than 1,000 hopefuls entered the four-month long preliminary search held simultaneously at premier entertainment venues around the country, but only 20 stunners have made it through to the end.The ZOO girl's first public appearance naturally created a lot of attention and the local media showed up in force. The stunning models are on The Gold Coast to compete in the National Final to be held at Melba’s On The Park on Friday 18th June for the coveted title of Australian Swimsuit Calendar Model Of The Year and the opportunity to score a cover and inside feature shoot with ZOO WEEKLY magazine.
However, the National Final is only one part of the promotion. While on the Gold Coast, all National Finalists will take part in a professional photographic shoot with Australia’s hottest glamour shooters Jason Cole from Sydney and Nick Vangopoulos from Adelaide. The resulting pictures will be featured in the 2011 Australian Swimsuit Calendar. The Australian Swimsuit Calendar, now entering its 18th year, is distributed and sold world wide. Having been photographed on the Gold Coast for the past five years, It is a spectacular showcase for the region as well as for the sensational female talent it unearths every year.
Following the publication of the 2011 calendar in October, the buyers will have the chance to vote for their favourite model and the winning girl receives a trip to the Miss Calendar Girl World Finals in The Bahamas! |
